This is the label I sewed on the back of my Calendar Quilt.
The text and cotton reels were printed on special fabric with an inkjet printer which I then framed with 24 little squares - using two of the fabrics from each of the twelve blocks.
I positioned this label at the top of the quilt in the middle.

Labels don't need to be elaborate.
For this label I simply wrote a message with a pink ballpoint pen on a small piece of white cotton.
The flowers I drew on with fabric pens and finished the label with narrow white cotton lace and little pink bow. I positioned this label in the lower left hand corner of the quilt.

For a truly unique final touch you could hand embroider your label.
I positioned the corner of a cotton handkerchief with a scalloped edge into the lower right hand corner and secured it with the binding. The label remains open so it is also a little pocket that a message can be tucked in to.

If your sewing machine has a feature where you can stitch characters you can create a label this way. I framed the label with some two tone ricrac.

I created a stencil on my Cricut machine and mixed fabric paints with mica powders to create an earthy theme, surrounding the words with a frame of mitred wooden print fabric.
